I’m so honoured to again be member of the month. I’m proud to be a Social Butterfly Girlfriend (SBG) and very proud over 8 years ago now to be the first member to join this wonderful group of women – Thank you Dominique!
I’m also honoured to know the man I’m standing with in this photo – No he’s not my boyfriend…(Damn); but I do know him & you have the opportunity to meet him also.
You know him as Paul Hogan/Mick(Crocodile)Dundee. I know him as the Ambassador of Tour De Cure Gala Events.
As many of you know I lost my mother, father & stepfather to cancer, and since my father passed away in Dec 2018; I’ve dedicated much of my time to raising money for TDC (Tour De Cure). In this endeavour I joined the TDC Gala Events Committee in June last year and in August was invited to be Co-Chair of this truly amazing charity.
The journey this position has taken me on has been incredible. Without a doubt a lot of work, tenacity & commitment; but the people I’ve met/been introduced to and the opportunities I’ve had thus far; I never would have imagined…So many incredible humans – Scientists, Professors, Celebrities, Senior Marketing Directors of major companies & Board Chairs/Directors.
I’m so excited as member of the month to share with you our next wonderful gala event – The 2020 TDC Snow Ball. Fun, fantastic & utterly Fabulous. It’s on June 20, 2020…And how could you not;( given the year & the date), theme it “THE ROARING 20’s”!!
Dominique has kindly offered to upload the invitation on the SBG Event Page & send out an invite so we can all hit up that dance floor on Saturday June 20 and show off our best Charleston!!
Oh & the Gift Bags are sensational too..Can’t tell you what’s in them though…It would ruin the surprise…A voucher for a dinner with Paul Hogan?…Maybe not….But lovely goodies anyway; and besides one can dream, can’t one?
My dream is a “Cancer Free World”! And our two gala events – The Snow Ball & The Spring Lunch (held in September); last year raised $3.2 million towards research into children’s cancer.
I even heard this morning on the radio that there is a possibility that within 10 years we will have a cancer free world…My dream could very well come true! But in the meantime I feel so blessed to have the freedom of health, energy & passion to be a part of Tour De Cure & share this with all my fellow SBG’s 🦋
